Sound Installations

A very new project is creating sound instillations for galleries and other spaces. These instillations are multi-layered audio / musical tapestries created, composed and performed by Tom. They include ambient sounds combined with musical composition. They can function as a stand alone instillation or be combined with a live performance.

Please enjoy this excerpt of Tom's sound instillation Sonic Saturation. This instillation was commissioned by The Athenaeum Art Gallery in Alexandria, VA to accompany the exhibit, Saturate, in which one of Tom's multimedia pieces was on display. The 45 minute instillation combined prerecorded ambient water sounds of rivers, rain, and waterfalls. Tom overlaid a live performance of instruments manipulated by and inspired by water, including the water itself!
